This Sunday wasn’t nearly as difficult as the others because for the first half it POURRED RAIN, and the wind thrashed about. I opened all the windows and doors to let some fresh air in. The stones in front of the door were dirty before but now they were covered with mud. I tried to sweep some of the water off, because my step does not allow for water to drain off it just collects in front of my door. One of the house girls next door saw me and came over and used a better tool for it than I had. I thanked her for helping me.
Afterwards I had to do my wash, which is hell, honestly the worst thing here is washing a giant sheet by hand. The water itself looks dirty and its almost impossible to get the soap off of the sheets washing them in these small buckets and dirty water I just feel like I’m spreading the dirt. I might cave and have this be the last time…do you think its okay to sleep in the same sheets for 28 days…. Probably not. The neighbor girls like to come watch me wash which only makes it that much more painful. The sheets are hanging now but they aren’t drying because the rain cooled everything down, usually they dry in about 20 minutes but Sunday is the only day I have time to do it, so I don’t know when else I would have done it. But its 730 pm and they are still soaking wet…so we will have to figure something out!
